Mr Blogmeister is a pseudonym used by me for comedic effect as I write these posts that challenge my ability. The slogan “Always One Step Beyond His Capabilities” is, I believe a fitting one. May it ever be so.

My name is Larry VanOsdol, I am a semi-retired land surveyor who has spent more years than he cares to divulge in design and layout of residential subdivisions. I have spent the greater portion of my waking hours looking into the bright light of a cathode ray tube. The bright light has had some effect on my mentality, so I have decided to remain in front of the tube and try my hand at writing.

I live in Southwest Florida, with my wife of 21 years, and a 17 year old son ready to enter college in the fall. As I explore and learn how to blog, I thought I would share the experience, a virtual travelogue of this journey which began late, but should nevertheless be long.

I began on Blogger, first hosting at Blogspot.com, the Blogger site. I later got my own domain, hosted at Globat, and moved my Blogger sites there. I then discovered WordPress. What a change, and when I found I could have 6 sites at BlueHost for the price of one, I made the move. As they say, the rest is history. Correction, the rest is in front of me.
