  • The Woes of WordPress 2.3

    WordPress 2.3 has been out seventeen days now and I still haven’t upgraded this or any of my other websites.  WordPress 2.3 broke a lot of the plugins that are used in the Semiologic Pro theme. 
    I use Semiologic Pro exclusively and am waiting for either the plugins themselves to be revised, or for WordPress to be tweaked to allow some of the features that are exclusive to Semiologic Pro. (…)

    After a national promotion of their Search engine which relied upon the interaction of live search guides which included spots on Good Morning America, it now appears that the interest and the promotion has all but disappeared. 
    The website and the search engine now emphasize searchs using the search box, with only a small notice that a live guide is available to assist. (…)

  • Easy 301 Redirect

    Whenever established page-ranked web content is moved to a new domain, most suggest using a 301 Permanent Redirect so that the search engines can easily find the new location, and loss of traffic and page rank is eliminated or lessened. (…)
