Working with Internet Marketers
Kickass Web Design has a post about working for Internet Marketers where they state:
These are the people who think they’re going to get rich off the Internet by creating sites full of affiliate links, reprinted articles written by others (who also call themselves “internet marketers”) and huge blocks of Adsense ads cunningly designed so that it’s almost impossible to distinguish the ads from “real” links. These “internet marketers” often have content fed in from RSS feeds, and in fact rarely have any real self-generated content at all.
I have noticed this same thing. Their only intent is to get enough content to attract the search engines,. The search engines are not yet language majors, and thus cannot determine that the article was written by a contract writer with no language skills, and no knowledge of the subject matter.
Then once the visitor is on their site, object shifts to demonstrating that the content is "pure trash", encouraging the visitor to leave, preferably by clicking on an ad which may provide the answer to their original inquiry. Everyone’s happy, right. The visitor has their information, the Internet marketer has their money from the click, and the advertiser has the chance to make a sale.
This site is somewhat different. It contains no scraped material, and the only affiliate ads are of those products which I personally use and recommend. It is expensive to maintain a website, and time consuming to come up with new content. And yes, I do make some money if you purchase from any of these links. It is my hope that you consider this as a thank you for information provided. And in most cases, I provide an alternate URL where you can bypass any commission I might receive. The product costs the same either way, but the choice is always up to you, my visitor.
Please take the time to read some of my recommendations in other posts, and please comment, and do come back
